Greenwich Police Charge Women in April Knife Incident in Byram

On Friday, July 3 Clarissa Cousins, 20, of Port Chester, NY responded to Greenwich Police Dept to surrender on an outstanding warrant.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation that determined Cousins sought out and assaulted another individual due to a prior argument.

Police say that back on April 23, Cousins confronted another woman at a laundromat on North Water Street in Byram and then cut her with the knife. Police said the victim sustained a laceration to the mid-section and was transported to Greenwich Hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries.

The warrant was confirmed and Cousins was charged with Reckless Endangerment 1, Assault 3, and Breach of Peace 2.

Her bond was set at $25,000, which she was able to post.

She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 17, 2020.
