Greenwich Police Arrest Saks Burglar Suspects and Alleged Consigned Designs Robber

Greenwich Police have made an additional arrest for the robbery that occurred at Consigned Designs on Mason Street in June, and arrested two suspects for last week’s incident at Saks on Greenwich Ave in which a car was driven through the store’s front doors of Saks on Greenwich Avenue.

In the case of the Consigned Designs incident, Kristen A. McKenzie, 24, of Metairie, LA surrendered to Greenwich Police on Sept 9, 2022 on an active arrest warrant for the charges of Robbery 1st, Larceny 4th, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4th. She is being held on a court set bond of $1,500,000.

McKenzie was allegedly involved in the robbery of the Consigned Designs store on Mason Street on June 25, 2022.

This incident resulted in a store employee sustaining serious physical injuries after being run over by the fleeing suspect’s car.

Her accomplice, Lamoine R. Ward, 26, of LaPlace, LA, was apprehended by Las Vegas, NV Police and awaits sentencing there for charges involving larceny, possession of a stolen vehicle, engaging police in pursuit and firearms violations.

Mr. Ward will be eventually extradited to Connecticut for the arrest warrant held by Greenwich Police for the charges of Robbery 1st, Assault 1st, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4th.

More recently, on Sept 9, 2022, Greenwich Police extradited from New York two suspects in the burglary of Saks Fifth Avenue on Sept 2, 2022.

The suspects drove a car into the front of the store causing extensive damage and then stole numerous expensive items.

The suspects were stopped in New York shortly after the incident and arrested.

Both suspects have an extensive and violent criminal history. Alton Jackson, 34, from Chicago, IL and MyKuan Smith, 28, from Chicago, IL were charged by arrest warrant for: Burglary 1st, Larceny 1st, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trover, Engaging Police in Pursuit and Misuse of Registration Plates. Each suspect has a court set bond of $500,000.

Additionally, Greenwich Police have submitted arrest warrants for suspects in the Greenwich Av Apple Store robbery committed in July 2022.
