GPD: One of Two Suspects in Mason St Consignment Store Robbery Arrested by Las Vegas Police

Update, Wednesday Aug 3: ROBBERY UPDATE – SUBJECT ARRESTED. On August 1, 2022, Lamoine Ward was arrested by the LVMPD for the arrest warrant held by Greenwich Police.

Mr. Ward had been arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on multiple criminal charges several days ago. LVMPD learned of Greenwich Police’s arrest warrant and served the warrant while Ward was in their custody. Ward is being held on bond. When the charges in Nevada have been settled, Ward will be extradited back to Connecticut.

There is still an active warrant for the arrest of Mr. Ward’s co-conspirator, Kristen McKenzie.

Original story: On Tuesday, Greenwich Police announced that after an investigation into the robbery at the consignment shop at 115 Mason Street on June 25, they secured arrest warrants for two suspects for Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree and Larceny 4th degree.

The arrest warrants allege that Kristen McKenzie attempted to shoplift several items from a retail store, and was confronted by store employees outside the store.

The arrest warrant further alleges that Lamoine Ward used his vehicle to strike one of the store employees. After striking the employee, he pointed a firearm at the employee while he lay on the ground.

Greenwich Police are working with several law enforcement agencies across the country in order to locate and arrest Lamoine Ward of LaPlace, Louisiana and Kristen McKenzie of Metairie, Louisiana.

Police say that once the suspects are arrested they will be extradited back to Connecticut.
