Greenwich Police responded on Monday morning to an incident in the area of 399 North Street involving alleged vandalism to a motor vehicle.
Police say that around 6:30am they arrived on scene and made contact with Joseph Tassone, 55, of Greenwich.
Tassone stated to officers that a vehicle had passed him on his moped while traveling north on North street which upset him and led him to throw a rock at the passing vehicle.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle sustained damage as a result of the rock being thrown, and several other rocks were located within Mr. Tassone’s moped.
Tassone was charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd degree and Breach of Peace 2nd degree.
His bond was set at $1,000. He was able to post the required 7% and was released from custody. Tassone has a date scheduled in Stamford Superior Court on July 22, 2024.
Last year Tassone was charged with Trespassing following an incident at Greenwich Library.
