Greenwich Police recently responded to Greenwich Library on West Putnam Ave on a report of a man, later identified as Joseph Tassone, 54, of Greenwich possibly taking inappropriate photos though photography, film, audio recording and other forms of recording are not allowed on premises.
Officers met with library security who related that the reporting party notified them that a man was possibly taking photos from under a desk.
Upon further investigation police determined that back on June 10, 2019 the same man had been advised that he was no longer welcome in the library for similar behavior that year, and that the accused related that he understood.
He was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 5, 2023.
