Greenwich Police Arrest Driver by Warrant after Wild Ride through Cos Cob

On February 18 Greenwich Police arrested a New Haven man by warrant.

Jerrell Lamont Brodie, 22, was observed around  6:30pm on Jan 17, 2019 driving a car with heavily tinted rear license plate attachment that obstructed its view.

Officers activated overhead emergency lights and manually operated their siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle but Mr. Brodie failed to stop.

Police say he continued at an extremely high rate of speed, overtaking several cars in an attempt to elude police.

Brodie traveled through a red light, made a prohibited lane change without turn signals, and crossed the double yellow line entering the lane of oncoming traffic.

Due to safety concerns, officers did not pursue Brodie.

After being arrested by warrant police charged him with Improper Turn Signal, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane, Traffic Control Signals, Disobeying Signal of Officer, Reckless Driving, Driving under Suspension and Failure to Display Plate.

His bond was set at $10,000 which he was unable to post.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 4, 2020.
