Greenwich Man Charged with Strangulation, Assault after Incident on N Water Street

On Friday, March 22 Greenwich Police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Famous Greek Kitchen on North Water Street in Byram.

Police say around 9:30pm Seth David Bladimirsquy, 51, of Henry Street in Greenwich pushed the victim against the building, grabbing him by the jacket in a way which restricted and impeded his breathing.

Police say that due to the way the victim was grabbed, the incident left red marks on his neck and a scratch on his arm.

Bladimirsquy was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault 3 and Strangulation 2.

Bladimirsquy was unable to post his 1,000 bond and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on April 5, 2019.

According to Lt Slusarz the incident appears to have started as a road rage incident after Mr. Bladimirsquy was crossing the street and a car turned out of a driveway.

“There was an exchange of words that became physical,” Slusarz said, adding that Mr. Bladimirsquy had stepped into the crosswalk and observed a vehicle traveling west that almost struck him. The vehicle continued north and parked in front of the restaurant.

“He went over and confronted the operator and things went south from there,” Slusarz said.
