On Dec 27 around 6:15pm, Greenwich Police responded to the area of 124 Ritch Avenue West on a report of a car crash.
It was further reported that the vehicle that caused the crash had left the scene.
The reporting party described the evading vehicle as a black sedan.
Investigation brought officers to a residence in Byram, where the car was parked on the street.
Police say that the car, a black Toyota Corolla, had fresh damage consistent with the crash scene.
The driver, Jose Alberto Lopez-Herrera, 20, was located in his residence and was charged with Evading Responsibility/Injury/Property Damage and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane.
He was able to post the required 10% of his $250 bond and was released. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 10, 2022.
