On April 20 a local man turned himself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on an outstanding warrant for Improper Storage of a Pistol/Revolver in a Motor Vehicle.
Police say the incident stemmed back to the night of April 16 on Sheephill Rd in Riverside.
According to Lt Martin O’Reilly, Paul William Chiappetta, 56, allegedly left an unsecured firearm stored in a vehicle improperly and it was stolen.
Mr. Chiappetta was released on a promise to appear in court and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 4, 2022.
