Greenwich Man Charged after Tirade in Office

On Sept 7 Greenwich Police observed a white Chevy Tahoe headed north on Riverside Ave.

The officer was familiar with the vehicle and its operator, Ernest Michael Drupals, 48, of Carrona Drive in Riverside and was aware Drupals had an active arrest warrant for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief 3 stemming back to an incident on River Rd in Cos Cob on Aug 20.

Drupals was stopped, arrested and charged with the above offenses. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 16, 2019.

According to police back on Aug 20, Drupals entered an office on River Rd demanding paperwork he believed he was entitled to.

“When he was not given said paperwork he became irate, yelling at office employees, demanding to see his attorney, checking all areas of the office without permission and frightening employees,” police said. Further, “Drupals picked up a lamp off a table and threw it to the floor, damaging it.”

Drupals is a convicted sex offender. In 2002 he was convicted of Possession of Child Pornography in Greenwich.
