Greenwich Man Charged after Allegedly Punching Victim Who Accused Him of Urinating in Refrigerator

On Friday at about 4:30am, Greenwich Police were dispatched to 64 Ute Place Apartment 1B in Greenwich on report of an verbal dispute between two people that turned physical.

According to Police, Dispatch relayed that reporting party said a male subject, later identified as Christopher Casey, 49, of 64 Ute Place in Greenwich, struck him in the head with his bare hands.

Also, according to Police, both subjects were intoxicated. There were no weapons involved, but the victim suffered a small cut to his nose.

The victim related to Police that the suspect punched him in the face after he confronted the suspect about urinating in the refrigerator.

The suspect claimed that he had been sleeping and was not even aware of any altercation between himself and the victim.

Based on investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Greenwich Police headquarters where he was processed for Disorderly Conduct. His bond was set at $1,000 and he has a court date of March 28, 2016.
