Greenwich Man Arrested Twice in One Week

On Thursday Greenwich Police arrested Brandon Rivera of Greenwich, 24, for the second time in a week. They say that around 4:00pm on the 29 he engaged them in pursuit in Byram after they attempted to stop him for an unsafe turn on West Putnam Ave.

Because Rivera had been identified by police and since there was heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, police terminated the pursuit after a short distance.

Later that day Rivera appeared at police headquarters about another matter and was arrested for the incident earlier in the day.

He was charged with Improper Turns, Engaging Police in Pursuit and Reckless Driving.

His bond was set at $100,000 and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 3, 2021.

On April 27 police arrested Rivera on an outstanding warrant after a motor vehicle stop. The charges stemmed from a crash back on December 15, 2020 in Byram in which of the drivers fled in a Maserati that had been reported stolen. After a lengthy investigation Greenwich Police identified Rivera as the driver of the stolen car.

He was charged with Larceny 1 of a motor vehicle greater than $20,000 and Evading Responsibility.
