Greenwich Police arrested a Norwalk woman by warrant for a Larceny 1 charge stemming from a victim reporting a financial crime incident on Dec 2, 2024.
The victim allowed the arrestee, Anna Marie Verzosa, now 36, to open credit cards and purchase vehicles in the victim’s name.
The victim then realized Verzosa had stopped making payment on the credit cards and vehicles, leaving the victim responsible for the balance.
After investigation Greenwich Police detectives were able to prove that the victim purchased multiple vehicles at the direction of Verzosa as part of an ongoing scam that includes unauthorized credit card charges in excess of $47,000 for an estimated total financial loss of at least approximately $254,431.89.
Verzosa was unable to post her $100,000 bond and remained in police custody.
She was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 31, 2025.
