Greenwich Driver Mounts Curb, Gets Stuck, Gets DUI.

Just after midnight on Dec. 13, Mark Libak, 54, of 1 Meadowcroft Road in Greenwich was charged with DUI and Restricted Turns Fail Signal after multiple Greenwich Police units responded to North Street on a report of an erratic driver.

On North St, a vehicle matching the witness description was located, having mounted a curb and becoming stuck.

According to Police, the vehicle was running, still in drive and the operator was standing next to the open door of the vehicle.

Through further investigation determined that the driver, Libak, displayed bloodshot eyes and the odor associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages. He did not perform standardized field sobriety tests to standard and was arrested and charged with  Driving Under the Influence and Unsafe Movement.

Libak was unable to post his $250 bond and was held at Greenwich Police Headquarters. He has a court date on Dec. 28 in Stamford Superior Court.
