GPD: Arrests Made for Organized Retail Theft of Merchandise Worth $8,416

Four people were arrested this week and charged with organized retail theft after incidents on Greenwich Avenue.

Police arrested two men and two women from the Bronx: Sandro Junior Oliveros-Chero, 24; Gabriela Hernandez, 21; Brayan Oliveros, 27; and Edimar Alegandra Colmenares.

On Wednesday afternoon plainclothes officers working in the central Greenwich business district were notified about a shoplifting incident involving six people are a local store.

They were able to detain the four suspects who stole $8,416 worth of  merchandise from two stores.

A search incident to the arrest revealed two foil lined bags (booster bags) and stolen merchandise.

Each was charged with Organized Retail Theft, Larceny 3, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 3, Larceny 4, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny 4, Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device (2 counts) and Conspiracy to Commit / Illegal Possession of Shoplifting Device (2 counts).

Bond for each suspect was set at $25,000. None of them were able to post bond.

They share a date in Stamford Superior Court on Nov 8.
