GPD: Woman Faces Multiple Charges after Backing Up and Crashing on West Putnam Ave

A Stamford woman turned herself in at Greenwich Police headquarters on Monday. She was wanted by warrant for an incident that took place on Jan 2, 2023.

Police say that Eva Knapp, 43, had backed unsafely in the area of West Putnam Ave causing a crash with another motorist.

Police later found Ms Knapp to be unlicensed and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and suspended registration.

Knapp was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Minimum Insurance, Illegal operation of Motor Vehicle Under Suspension, Unsafe Backing and Operating Motor Vehicle without a License.

She was able to post the required 10% of her $10,000 bond and was released. She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 9, 2023.
