GPD: Traffic on West Putnam Ave Comes Complete Stop for Drunk Driver

On Aug 9, around 3:30pm, Greenwich Police stopped a car that was making an unsafe turn out of Livingston Place onto West Putnam Ave causing vehicles traveling east on West Putnam Ave to come to a complete stop.

Investigation revealed that the driver, Kevin O’Brien, 46, of Austin Ave in Stamford displayed signs of alcohol impairment.

He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with DUI (second offense), Illegal Operation of Motor Vehicle Under Suspension and Improper Turn.

He posted his $300 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 24, 2018.
