GPD: Disabled Vehicle Was Stolen; Driver Charged with Larceny

On June 4 around 1:00am Greenwich Police responded to Arch Street and Horseneck Lane on a report of a disabled vehicle.

A Dept of Motor Vehicles check of the vehicle revealed it had been stolen out of Windsor, CT.

Police say Jhuge Arnold, 37, of Hartford, CT, was locate by the vehicle and was in possession of car keys for the disabled car. While speaking to police he gave an invalid name and date of birth.

Initially he said he was alone, but later said his cousin “John” had been driving, but he had no contact information for “John.”

Mr. Arnold was processed and charged with Larceny 3 and Interfering with an Officer. He was unable to post his 10,000 bond and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 18, 2021.
