On April 1 Greenwich Police and members of the New York Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force arrested on an extraditable warrant John Mueser, 69, of Tuckahoe, NY for the charges of Possession of Child Pornography 1st Degree, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Sexual Assault 4th Degree and Voyeurism.

Greenwich Police began an extensive investigation in October 2019 that involved digital evidence and thousands of digital photographs.

After establishing probable cause and obtaining an arrest warrant from the State Superior Court in Stamford, Greenwich Police Special Victims Detectives and members of the New York Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force located and arrested Mr. Mueser at his residence in Tuckahoe.

After waiving extradition, Mueser was transported to Greenwich Police headquarters on April 7, 2020.

Mueser was able to post a $250,000 bond and was released from custody.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 4, 2020.

Police say that due to the sensitive nature of this investigation and the age of the victim, no further details will be released at this time.

Mueser is a member of staff at Riverdale Country School, a private school in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, where students are learning remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. As of Wednesday, Mueser’s name was removed from the staff directory.
