GPD Arrest Man On Warrant for July Road Rage Incident

Greenwich Police arrested a Westport man by warrant after he was released from Stamford Hospital on Dec 29.

Steven Lepkowski, 27, of Post Rd East in Westport, was being monitored by Stamford Police while he was in Stamford Hospital because they were aware of his outstanding warrant with GPD.

Lepkowski was wanted charges stemming back to an incident on July 23, 2018 when police say they responded to a report of road rage that turned into a physical altercation near the intersection East Putnam Ave and Indian Field Road.

Police say that Lepkowski exited his vehicle and struck another driver in the presence of minor children, causing a minor injury to the victim.

Greenwich Police obtained a warrant for Mr. Lepkowski, and upon his release from Stamford Hospital on Dec 29, he was charged with Driving with a Suspended License, Improper Turn, Risk of Injury to a Child, Criminal Mischief 1, Breach of Peace 2 and Assault 3.

Lepkowski’s bond was set at $10,000 which he was able to post.He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 16, 2019.
