GPD: $300K Bond for Stamford Man Charged with Violating Protective Order

Greenwich Police arrested a Stamford man on Aug 3 on a charge of Violation of Protective Order, a class D Felony.

Police say George Vukel, 42, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident on July 19 in which he violated a protective order by sending electronic messages to the protected party.

Vukel was able to post his court set $300,000 bond and was released. He was assigned the next available court date, Aug 4, 2022 in Stamford Superior Court.

Vukel has a history with both Greenwich and Stamford Police.

In June Vukel was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault 3 after a fight at a residence in Chickahominy.

On July 7 he surrendered on an outstanding warrant stemming from the June incident in Chickahominy. Vukel was charged with 10 counts of Violation of Protective Order. He was able to post $75,000 bond.

Vukel has other pending cases in court including for charges by Stamford Police in Oct 2020 for Assault 3, Threatening 2 and Disorderly Conduct; and Assault 3 and Violating Protective Order in July 2021.
