A fatal motor vehicle crash took place on the Boston Post Road (Rte 1) in Port Chester at about 1:30am on Tuesday. Local police and EMS responded to the crash which took place near Olivia Street.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a single vehicle crash involving a female driver who was ejected from the vehicle after it struck a utility pole.
The victim was identified as Amy Josabeth Munguia, 21, a resident of the Village of Port Chester. The family has been notified.
Rte 1 was closed to traffic for several hours to allow for emergency response operations and investigation, and was reopened shortly before 8:30am.
The incident remains under investigation by the Port Chester, NY Police Dept.
