Duo Charged after Shooting BB Gun in Binney Park on Easter Sunday

Greenwich Police responded to Old Greenwich on Sunday around 7:30pm on a report of two individuals shooting a BB gun into Binney Pond.

When officers arrived they found two people matching the reporting party’s description in possession of a firearm. Investigation revealed a BB gun was discharged into the pond while people were in Binney Park.

After a vehicle inventory was done, marijuana was found within the suspect’s vehicle. Jabari White, 24, of Tresser Boulevard in Stamford was charged with Possession of Greater than 1/2 Oz Cannabis, Illegal Discharge of Firearm, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Breach of Peace 2 and Reckless Endangerment 2.

He was unable to post his $50,000 bond and was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 5, 2019.

Also arrested was Arielle Monique Bailey, 25, of Borglum Street in Stamford.

Police say while interviewing Ms. Bailey, she misled officers about who owned and who fired the BB gun.

Bailey was charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Interfering with Officer/Resisting Arrest, and Breach of Peace 2. Her bond was set at $10,000, which she was able to post. She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 5, 2019.
