On Sat. Nov. 29 at 11:45pm Greenwich Police officers responded to the area of North St and North Maple Ave on a possible motor vehicle accident.
Police determined the driver, Jason Peter Gubinski, 29, of 27 West Church St in Greenwich, had driven his car from the scene and parked on Hillside Drive.
Gubinski was found lying his stomach hiding behind a stone wall at 1 Hillside Drive. According to Greenwich Police Gubinski displayed red glassy eyes and had an odor associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages emanating from his person.
It was determined that Gubinski was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and he was unable to complete field sobriety tests.
Gubinski was charged with Evading Responsibility, DUI, and Unsafe Movement. His bond was set at $500 and he has a court date of Dec. 15, 2014 scheduled in Stamford Superior court.
