DUI for Greenwich Man Asleep at the Wheel on Hamilton Ave

Greenwich Police responded to Hamilton Avenue at Armstrong Court on July 4th around 3:20am on a report of a man passed out behind the wheel while stopped in the middle the travel lane.

Upon arrival, the car was running and blocking the entire westbound travel lane of Hamilton Avenue with the accused, Luis Correa, of Greenwich, passed out in the driver’s seat.

Police say it took multiple attempts to wake Correa and while speaking with him, they detected the odor of of alcoholic beverage. Correa was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with DUI and Improper Parking.

He was able to post his $250 bond and was released. He was assigned a court date in Stamford Superior Court on July 23, 2021.
