On Sept 22 around 2:00am, Greenwich Police spotted a vehicle traveling on the southbound I95 exit ramp and speed through the stop sign at Louden Street.
Police said the vehicle’s registration had expired last June.
They stopped the car and during investigation the accused, John Reinoso Sanchez, 21, of Danbury, CT was showing signs of alcohol impairment. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
During a search of the vehicle after the arrest, police found two open, empty bottles of alcoholic beverages.
Mr. Sanchez was charged with Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, DUI, and Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
He was able to post the required 7% of his $300 bond ($21.00) and was released. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 7, 2024.
