DUI for Driver Who Hit North Street Utility Pole and Fled

On Sunday around 8:00am, Greenwich Police responded to North Street and Doubling Road on a report of a vehicle striking a utility pole.

Police say the officer observed an unoccupied vehicle disabled due to a collision with a utility pole on the west side of North Street.

A canine search tracked the suspect to the area of 12 Parsonage Lane.

Investigation determined the driver, Aaron Guerrero, 38, of Glen Ave in Port Chester, was suspected of being under the influence. He did not meet the field sobriety tests to standard and was arrested for DUI, Evading Responsibility and Failure to Maintain Lane.

He was released on a $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 2, 2019.
