DUI for Driver Spotted Crossing Double Yellow by GPD on Patrol in Byram at 3:00am

On Thursday around 3:00am Greenwich Police on patrol in Byram in the area of Mill Street between South Water Street and Mead Ave observed a vehicle traveling east that crossed over the double yellow line into westbound lane of travel.

A motor vehicle stop was initiated and the odor of alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver, later identified as David Aguirre-Salazar, 35, of Fairfield, CT.

Mr. Aguirre-Salazar was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. He was charged with Driving an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, DUI an Failure to Drive in Proper Lane. His bond was set at $500 which he was able to post.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on July 25, 2019.
