DUI for Driver Found Asleep at The Wheel on Round Hill Rd

Close to midnight on April 23 Greenwich Police responded to the area of Round Hill Road on a report of a man asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle.

Officers arrived on scene and observed the accused, Alexander Edward Post, 33, of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, slumped over the wheel of his vehicle, which was running while shifted into park.

Police said officers made several attempts to raise Mr. Post before he came to. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. Police also observed a plastic bag containing non-prescribed pills in the driver’s side floor, later identified as Adderall for which Post did not have a prescription.

Post was charged with DUI and Possession of a Controlled Substance first offense. He was released after posting the required 10% of his $500 bond and assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 9, 2022.
