DUI For Driver Asleep in Car Parked in Middle of Intersection

On Dec 30, 2022 around 1:15am Greenwich Police responded to the area of Byram Terrace Drive and Weaver Street on a report of a vehicle in the middle of the roadway revving its engine.

Police say that when they arrived the y located a running parked car in the middle of the intersection and the accused, Alexander Ramos Sanchez, 29, of White Plains, NY, was observed leaning back in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed.

Mr. Ramos Sanchez woke up when officers tapped on the window. Police say he had glossy bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverage, and was unable to speak intelligible words to officers, but was following directions.

He was unable to perform standardized field sobriety tests to standard. He was charged with DUI and Improper Parking. He was unable to post his $250 bond and was placed in a cell.

Mr. Ramos Sanchez has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 9, 2023.
