On Saturday around 4:30am, Greenwich Police headed to Oak Ridge Street on a report of a driver evading responsibility for an accident. Before arriving on scene, officers located a car matching the description of the fleeing car at the intersection of West Putnam Ave and Prospect Street. Upon stopping the vehicle, police noted damage consistent with the damage to the victim’s car.
The driver, Esmerelda Osorlo, 50, of 77 Oak Ridge Street, failed to perform sobriety tests to standard and was arrested for DUI, in addition to Evading Responsibility and Fail to Drive in Proper Lane. She has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on May 30.
