On Thursday around 5:00pm, Greenwich Police stopped a car on Greenwich Avenue that they knew to be involved in recent larcenies in the central Greenwich business district.
Police said that prior to stopping the car the observed that it had a dark tinted windshield and front windows that restricted nearly all visibility of the interior of the vehicle.
Further, the cars left and right brake lights did not function.
As they removed the driver, Alisha Gabbard, 39, from Indianapolis, Indiana from the vehicle they observed a pair of brass knuckles in the driver’s door compartment.
Gabbard was charged with Illegal Possession of Weapons in a Motor Vehicle, Tinted Glass Requirements and Failure to have Stop Lamps.
She was unable to post her $1,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 1, 2023.
