On Feb 15, around 6:00pm, Greenwich Police dispatched two officers to the intersection of South Water Street and Mill Street Byram to assist another officer who conducting a traffic stop for an unregistered vehicle.
During the traffic stop, dispatchers advised the officers that the driver, Bernabe Gutierrez-Orellana, 39, of Port Chester, had an extraditable warrant out of Arizona stemming from charges for Kidnapping and Sexual Conduct with a Minor.
Gutierrez-Orellana was charged with Extraditable Arrest without a Warrant. At the time of his arrest, he was unable to post his $500,000 bond and remained in Greenwich Police custody. He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 1, 2023.
