Driver Stopped for Speeding Also Charged with DUI, Drugs Charges

At about 2:45am on Feb 19, Greenwich Police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on Hamilton Avenue at 49 mph in a 25 mph zone on Hamilton Avenue.

According to police, a DMV inquiry revealed that the car’s registration had expired.

During the motor vehicle stop, it was determined that the driver, Alexander B Fesenko, 54, of 452 Stillson Road in Fairfield, had red glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages. He was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

During a search of Fesenko’s car, police found a glass smoking pipe, a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana, and a black tar-like substance consistent with butane honey oil contained within a small pouch on the passenger seat.

Fesenko was arrested and charged with DUI, Traveling Unreasonably Fast, Failure to Renew Registration, Possession of Marijuana less than 1/2 oz, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Fesenko was assigned a court date at Stamford Superior Court on March 6, 2017. His bond was set at $250, which he was able to post.
