CT State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on I-95 in Fairfield that Killed Norwalk Man

CT State Police are investigating the crash on I-95 in Fairfield between exit 23 on and off ramps that resulted in the death of a Norwalk man on Friday around 2:25am. Police said preliminary investigation revealed that a Saturn with CT plates driven by Jake Seco, 22, of Norwalk was traveling southbound on I-95 in the center lane when for unknown reasons the vehicle veered to the left and into the median where it struck the concrete jersey barrier, and came to a stop in the median.

Then, police said, Seco exited the Saturn and walked into the southbound travel lanes where he was struck in the center lane of I-95 southbound by a 2025 Nissan Rogue with Florida plates driven by an Everett, Massachusetts man.

Seco was pronounced deceased on scene by an AMR paramedic. C.A.R.S. responded to the scene. Dept of Transportation and Fairfield Fire Dept also responded to the scene to assist with traffic control. The roadway was shut down for approximately six hours to allow for investigation and scene processing.
