Criminal Mischief and Threatening Charges for Greenwich Man

On Sunday around 6:00pm, Greenwich Police responded to 520 East Putnam Avenue, the address associated with Mobil Mart, on a report of a person in the store who broke a glass partition.

Upon arrival officers noted the broken partition at the front counter.

Officers reviewed internal security footage which revealed that the offender, James Kimball, 37, of Greenwich, had broken the partition and threatened one of the employees by stating that he “should kill them for calling the cops.”

Police say Mr. Kimball had earlier entered the business and cursed out the employees while.

Police took Mr. Kimball into custody and charged him with Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Disorderly Conduct and Threatening Violence to Terrorize 2nd degree.

His bond was set at $1,000 and he was able to post the required minimum 10% cash.

He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 5, 2023.
