Police say that on Sunday night a car and a box truck crashed at 600 West Putnam Ave.
A delivery truck that had made a delivery was leaving Citarella and pulled in front of car traveling east on West Putnam.
The driver of car, a Hoda Civic, was taken to the hospital.
“It caused a considerable mess,” said Lt John Slusarz, who added that the east bound lanes were closed for about an hour and a traffic was detoured via Holly Hill.
