Greenwich Police arrested a local man, Kristopher Thomas Chimblo, 37, on Tuesday, Sept 9 and charged him with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Ammunition or an Electronic Defense Weapon, a class C felony.

According to the GPD criminal information summary, Chimblo had an active extraditable felony arrest warrant from their department for the charge, which stemmed from a weapons investigation that began on August 27.
Police took custody of Chimblo at the Westchester County Dept of Correction in Valhalla and transported to Greenwich Police Dept.
His bond was set at $250,000 and he was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 10, 2025.
In a post on Facebook Monday night, police said, that back on August 27, 2025, Greenwich Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Mr. Chimblo after receiving reliable information he was illegally in possession of firearms. The search uncovered Chimblo, a convicted felon, to be in possession of firearms, some fully automatic, and firearm parts. An arrest warrant was issued for Criminal Possession of a Firearm (53a-217) and Chimblo was later located in Westchester County, NY, and arrested as a fugitive from justice.
