Car Spotted with Lights Off at 1:30am Leads to DUI Arrest

On Dec 13 around 1:30am Greenwich Police spotted a car traveling on the Post Rd with no lights on. Police followed the car which crossed the double yellow line on Robertson Lane and then drove drove down the middle of River Road straddling the double yellow line.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the the driver, later identified as, Refat Mozahid Chowdury, 27, of Chestnut Lane in Milford, was asked to submit to field sobriety tests, which he did not perform to standard.

Chowdury was charged with DUI, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and Failure to Display Lights.

He was able to post his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 27, 2018. He was released into the care of his father.
