Burglary Suspect Surrenders to Greenwich Police

A Greenwich man surrendered to Greenwich Police on Wednesday morning on an outstanding warrant for his arrest for an incident that stemmed back to September 4.

The alleged crimes took place on Almira Drive in Pemberwick in the overnight hours.

Earlier this month Lt John Slusarz said during a press briefing, “It looks like somebody got into the back sliding door the first time, and then there was a second attempt on Sept 9 which was unsuccessful.”  Slusarz said the scene was still being processed at the time but that an undisclosed amount of US currency was missing and neighbors were being interviewed.

On Wednesday, Oct 17, the Greenwich Police released an arrest report saying Christopher C McCalla, 18, of Homestead Lane in Greenwich had been charged with Burglary 1, Larceny 3, two counts of Attempted Burglary 3, and Burglary 3

His bond was set at $25,000, which he was unable to post. He was transferred to Stamford Superior Court for same day arraignment.

His next date in Stamford Superior Court will be Oct 31, 2018.
