On July 18, Greenwich Police responded to a report of a black Labrador in a car with the windows closed on Grove Street in Cos Cob.
“On scene officers determined that the K9 was within the trunk of the vehicle for approximately 39 minutes and was salivating due to the heat which caused the K9 distress,” police said in a release on Thursday morning.
The car was a black Volvo parked in full sun. The owner admitted to police she’d left the dog in the car 30 minutes.
Linda A Scalley, 56, of 29 Home Ave in Wilton was charged with Cruelty to Animals.
She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on August 1, 2018.
