Alleged Rape at Hyatt Regency Results in Prostitution Arrest

An 18-year-old woman was arrested on Dec. 13, in Riverside after Greenwich Police responded to the Hyatt Regency at 1800 East Putnam Ave on the report of a possible rape.

The reporting party, an alleged victim in the incident, was identified as Chastity Angel Plummer of 5002 43rd Wayne in Lubbock, Texas.

Following what police describe as an extensive and thorough investigation by detectives and Special Victims Section personnel, it was determined that Plummer had lied and fabricated the entire account of the incident. According to a release, Plummer admitted to being involved in prostitution at the Hyatt.

“The police believe the motivation for the false report was made after Plummer failed to receive full payment for services rendered,” Lt. Gray said in an update to the original release.

Plummer was arrested and charged with Prostitution, Falsely Reporting an Incident 2nd degree and Interfering with an Officer. She was held on $10,00 bond and has a court date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 22, 2014.
