An event at the YWCA Greenwich, “Hidden in Plain Sight,” is set for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 6:45 to 8:15pm.
This free workshop is designed to educate parents about the hidden risks of substance use and provide practical tools for prevention.

• An introduction to cannabis, its effects on mental and physical health, and its impact on adolescent brain development
• Prevention strategies to reduce youth cannabis use and encourage healthy choices
• The mental and physical health risks associated with vaping
• Support programs and cessation resources available to help youth quit vaping
• Practical prevention tools and resources for ongoing use
The event features an interactive teen bedroom display, allowing parents to spot clues related to at-risk behaviors. Experts will provide guidance on identifying signs of substance use and initiating open, informed conversations with teens about alcohol and other drugs.
