Get out the Shovels: Heavy Snow Coming to Greenwich on Tuesday

A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect Tuesday from 1:00am to 6:00pm for southern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.

Also a Coastal Flood Advisory will go into effect from 11:00pm on Monday to 2:00am on Tuesday.

Monday night: A slight chance of rain and snow between 10:00pm and 1:00am, then snow. Low around 32°. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Light northeast wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday: Snow mainly before 4:00p0m. Snow could be heavy at times. High near 35. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 21 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 25°.

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 33° and breezy.
