In late January, the Ashforth Company announced the completion of the newly renovated Greenwich Train Station, a major milestone in its $30 million, multi-phased Greenwich Crossing redevelopment.
There will be a temporary closure of the Greenwich Train Station in order for elevator construction work to take place, starting on March 26 at 12:00 noon until March 30 at 4:45am.
The closure is necessary so elevator construction work may proceed.
During the closure time, trains will continue and there will be access to the platforms, but the station itself will be closed.
Rail riders will be able to access the train platforms through the pedestrian bridge, MTA elevators on the platforms and the staircases at Arch Street, Steamboat Road, Greenwich Plaza Road and the Railroad Avenue parking lot.
The station is privately owned by The Ashforth Company. This is not a Town construction project.
More information on the temporary closure and the Greenwich Crossing project is available online.
