Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 season of the Greenwich Cardinals Youth Hockey Association (GCYHA), including its Mites (8U) program and travel team tryouts.

GCYHA is a co-ed, nonprofit youth hockey organization based out of Dorothy Hamill Rink. The Cardinals are committed to keeping hockey accessible and inclusive while providing a high-quality, development-focused experience for Greenwich families.
Registration for the Mites (8U) program is open now. There are no tryouts for Mites — families simply register, and evaluations will take place in the fall to help place players on teams. The 8U program focuses on skating, skill development, teamwork and fostering a love of the game in a fun, supportive environment. The 2026-27 Mites (8U) program is for kids born in 2018 or later.

Travel team tryouts will take place as follows:
- 10U (Squirts – 2016-2017): March 4, March 8 and March 9 at Dorothy Hamill Rink
- 12U (Peewees – 2014-2015): March 7, March 8 and March 11 at Dorothy Hamill Rink
- 14U (Bantams – 2012-2013): April 18 and 19 at Terry Conners Rink
- 16U/18U (Midgets – 2008-2011): April 18, April 19 and April 25 at Terry Conners Rink
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, GCYHA emphasizes long-term player development, sportsmanship and community, helping build the future of hockey in Greenwich.
