Shirley Ann (Doran) DiSapio, a lifelong resident of Greenwich passed away on the morning of July 24 after a prolonged illness. She was born on April 12, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Doran, Sr. and Anne (Tereischak) Doran.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family which meant everything to her. Shirley is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Alfred J. DiSapio of Greenwich, and her four beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Dan Warzoha of Greenwich, Denise and Michael Grabarz of Myrtle Beach SC, Laura and Albert DiBella of Greenwich, and Brenda and Robert Hansen of Shelton.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Stephen Warzoha, Daniel and Kathryn Warzoha, Meghan Grabarz, Nicole, Kendall, and Tyler Hansen, and Christopher, Zachary and Anthony DiBella. In addition, she is survived by her siblings Debra (Wayne) Kelly of Wallingford, VT, Joseph (Jane) Doran of Greenwich CT, and Alan Doran of Greenwich CT, her sisters-in law Mary Caputo and Kay Mills both of Greenwich, CT, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a graduate of Greenwich High School Class of 1954. She was an active member of St. Roch’s Roman Catholic Church and a volunteer at her children’s schools and the Nathaniel Witherell SNF devoting her time, talent and treasure to all. As always, Shirley was happiest when surrounded by her large, loving family. The DiSapio family is extremely grateful to the entire staff of the Nathaniel Witherell SNF in Greenwich for their professional and thoughtful care over the past years.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave in Greenwich CT on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Roch’s Church, 10 St. Roch Avenue, Greenwich CT at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley’s memory to the Friends of Witherell, 70 Parsonage Rd. , Greenwich CT 06830.
