Patricia Gasparino, 82

Patricia Gasparino, a lifetime Greenwich resident, passed away October 20, 2023, at age 82.

Patricia was born to Michael and Rose Strazza on November 28, 1940 at Greenwich Hospital. Raised in the Chickahominy section of town, within a household filled with love, Patricia had a deep appreciation of her upbringing and always reminisced on her supporting and adoring parents. This love and dedication extended to her faith, where she once was awarded the special honor of Crowning the Blessed Mother at St. Roch’s Church.

Patricia is the beloved wife of the late Peter Gasparino. Their courtship began with hundreds of letters passed between the two while Peter was deployed as a Marine at Camp Lejeune. After Peter completed his service, the couple was engaged and married shortly thereafter. They started a family and moved to Riverside. Patricia’s greatest accomplishment in life was her four children, Daniel Gasparino (Kelley), Michael Gasparino (Ruth), Peter Gasparino Jr and Patricia O’Gorman (Mark). Her family was everything to her and she was everything to them.

For over twenty five years Patricia worked as an administrator for Putnam Trust Company in Riverside. During her time there she established life long friendships. In her free time she could always be found cheering on her children at their sporting events or relaxing in the sun at Tod’s point; but Sundays were always dedicated to preparing a traditional Italian meal for her family.

After Peter’s passing, Patricia embraced the joys and challenges of continuing to raise her
growing family. She became the loving grandmother of Michael, Christy, Tommy, Katie, Paige, Brynn, Maggie and Jack and great grandmother of Vincent, Vittoria, and Cal. The joy she received from her grandchildren fulfilled her already beautiful life.

To honor Patricia’s life, family and friends will gather Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave Greenwich.

Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00am at St. Catherine of Siena followed by entombment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
