Joseph Sabato, a Greenwich resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 86 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 30, 1931 in Port Chester, NY to the late Vincent and Alice Sabato.
He graduated Port Chester High School, class of 1949. Joe served in the US Navy from 1951-1955, he graduated Fordham’s School of Pharmacy and worked many years as a pharmacist. Joe’s passion was music, he was a member of the Holly Hill Tones and sang in the St. Roch’s choir.
He also volunteered at Greenwich Hospital for fifteen years. Joe leaves behind his beloved wife Carol Sabato, his loving children Marianne Russo (Ralph), Joanne Rotanelli, Dianne Migliorelli (Sal), and Suzanne Nardi (Charles), and his 11 cherished grandchildren.
To honor his life, family and friends will gather Friday, August 25 from 4:00-8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 26 at 10am at St. Roch Church, Greenwich.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
