Francesca Ceci, of Cos Cob, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 19th.
Francesca was 74, born in Montalto Scalo, Consenza, Italy on November 10, 1942 to the late Michele and Caroline Chiappetta. Francesca worked at Electrolux and Pitney Bowes for many years.
Her passion was cooking and baking and she also enjoyed gardening as well as being an accomplished seamstress. Francesca was an extraordinary woman with a captivating personality, a beaming smile and a contagious laugh. Anyone who had the honor of meeting her loved and adored her.
Her greatest joy was spending all her time with her family making beautiful lifelong memories. She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother.
Besides her parents, Francesca is predeceased by her beloved husband, Umile Ceci and her brother Francesco Chiappetta. She is survived by her loving children, Vittorio (Mitzi), Louis (Eileen), Michael (Tina), Milo Jr. (Julie) and Rosa Cardini (Rob); and her 17 cherished grandchildren, Victor, Nick, CJ, Vincent, Ben, Maria, Michaela, Michael, Louis, Milo, Francesca, Caterina, Lisa, Victoria, Olivia, Bianca and Robbie. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Maria Covello (Francesco), Rita Angotta (Robert) and her sister-in-law, Guiomar Chiappetta.
To honor her life, family and friends will gather on Monday, July 24th from 4:00-8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 25th at 10:30am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Riverside, CT.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, CT.
In Lieu of flowers; Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Francesca.
